SAN JUAN BREW FEST

Dates: August 23, 2024 – August 24, 2024

The San Juan Brewfest is the largest beer tasting festival in the region! Fifty one breweries will attend, each will bring at least two beers for you to taste. Live music. Food available for purchase.

Mushroom & Wine Festival

Dates: August 30, 2024

Purgatory Resort’s Mushroom & Wine Festival is a wildly popular celebration of the bountiful wild mushrooms that can be found right here on the mountain. The celebration features a 5-course dinner with wine pairings. Each course features mushrooms sourced locally by our chef right here in the San Juan Mountains. Our wine steward selects exceptional wines to complement each course.

DURANGO DERBY

Dates: September 1, 2024

Durango Derby is the next evolution of MTB racing. Entering the second annual year of the event, the route showcases 31 miles of Durango’s premium in-town single track with 9 miles of untimed transfers. Racers will compete in four unique stages, in one day, on Sunday, September 1st.

Ska Brewing 29th Anniversary Party

Dates: September 7, 2024

29th Anniversary Party & Brewer’s Invitational! Featuring Save Ferris with special guests The Toasters! Tickets are on sale now! Physical tickets will also be for sale in the Tasting Room. Plan on dancing and drinking beers from 30+ brewery friends!

Purgatory Oktoberfest

Dates: September 15, 2024

Come stop by and try out the flavors of the season at our Purgatory Oktoberfest celebration on Sunday, September 15th from noon to 4:30 pm. With great brews, beautiful views, live music and a festive atmosphere it should be a blast!

AUTUMN ARTS FESTIVAL

Dates: September 21 – September 22, 2024

Organized as a benefit event by and for the Durango Arts Center, the region’s premiere non-profit arts organization serving Durango and the Four Corners, the festival is a well-loved and attended community event attracting upwards of 7600 visitors to stroll the 100 fine arts & fine craft booths, enjoy live entertainment on the main stage, local food booths and a children’s Creation Station for family friendly activities.

ANIMAS VALLEY BALLOON RALLY

Dates: October 18, 2024

Once a year, the Animas Valley fills with the vibrant colors of nearly a dozen hot air balloons. At a time when fall colors are at their peak, the Animas Valley Balloon Rally brings new reason to celebrate the season. Attendees will enjoy mass balloon ascension events each morning, as well as downtown balloon glows every night!

Mesa Verde Entrance Fee-Free Day

Dates: Select Dates from January 15 – November 11, 2024

Mesa Verde waives it’s entry fee several times each year. This is due to efforts to encourage everyone to visit their national park, and applies to all national parks.

THE POLAR EXPRESS TRAIN

Dates: November 22, 2024

Join the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad for the holiday classic, THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride, a magical theatrical interpretation of the classic tale of a child’s Christmas Eve journey to the North Pole featuring a ride on a steam locomotive. Enjoy hot chocolate and a sweet treat while experiencing onboard entertainment on your way to the North Pole to pick up Santa! Once onboard, Santa will visit each coach and bestow the first gift of Christmas on the return trip.
