Kim Penny is the Managing Broker for Legacy Properties West Sotheby’s International Realty in Durango, CO. She grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and attended the University of Nebraska on an athletic scholarship. Kim and her husband Jon moved to Durango in 2002 and she has been a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker since 2005. In 2008, Kim was named one of Realtor Magazine’s 30 Under 30, and in 2009 was among the top 5 producers in the Durango area. Rob Littfin’s real estate career spans 30 years. He came to Durango in 1984 from the Denver area to attend Fort Lewis College and obtain his BA Degree in Business. He moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, and was influenced by his father, a retired executive with Pulte Homes Corporation, to enter real estate. Although the real estate market was hot, so too was the weather, and he and his wife decided to move back to the cooler temps and lifestyle that Durango offered to raise a family. The idea of home was a transient one to Kim until she discovered Durango 21 years ago. Born in Montreal to Dutch parents, she grew up in Portugal and lived in Miami, London and Tokyo before meeting her husband in Zimbabwe and moving to Namibia. Many years of living out of a backpack in all kinds of real estate—from grass huts to palaces—fed her fascination with what home means to different people, and for the last decade as a Realtor she’s been using that experience, along with her Bachelor of Science in Communications and International Relations from FIU in Miami, to help hundreds of clients home in on their dreams.
